Life Science Director Marketing Technology (m/w/d)

The Director Marketing Technology position is a key new role within the Life Sciences Commercial practice. Our Client has long standing excellent relationships with the top 15 Pharma companies and a Multi-Billion Life Science / Healthcare practice. The Marketing Director will be responsible for Architecting Solutions for Life Sciences Clients and enables the positioning of the Unit’s marketing technology and automation Service offerings. Along with Architecting Marketing Automation Solutions, this Techno-Business Role will act as a trusted consultant in optimizing client marketing programs and initiatives for improved ROI and quick GTM objectives. Candidate must ensure the originality, quality of content and style to meet the client’s marketing technology strategies and objectives and extensive experience with Life Sciences companies. The role is supported by Client Partner and on-site and offshore Pre-Sales & Solutioning teams.

  • Lead strategy to design, build, execute and optimize marketing automation systems and programs with industry leading Marketing Automation Applications and Platforms

  • Monitor technology developments and trends and bring in new technologies and solutions to strengthen the Unit’s Service Offering and Solution Deliverable in the Pharma Marketing space

  • Write the Unit’s POVs and facilitate in creating other Marketing Collaterals as required

  • Guide teams in programs of various technology integrations including CRM, Social platforms, data enhancement tools, etc.

  • Bring in industry best practices and standards to create personalized campaigns (email, SMS, Push Notifications, Social), landing pages, templates, forms etc. with the right set of technologies

  • Help the teams create standard approaches to measure, track, analyze, and create report on the effectiveness of programs; create projections and measure ROI

  • Train the teams in Marketing Automation Platforms and processes

  • Lead marketing technology client workshops

  • Partner with clients to understand brand, messaging, & creative vision

  • Gain product knowledge to ensure sound strategic planning, timely & accurate implementation, financial control and a solid client relationship

  • Be thought leader in marketing technology initiatives and in current and emerging technology trends

  • Take abstract concepts to create cutting-edge marketing or solutions that are representative of the client's goals, and within brand and compliance guidelines

  • Demonstrate balance of risk management and expedient decision making

  • Demonstrate strong personal communication and presentation skills to establish interest, credibility and trust for client pitches and proposals

  • Collaborate with Client Partner, Business Development, and India, medical affairs, and IT teams

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within our commercial practice area

  • Support marketing and digital solutions strategy, in partnership with client’s product management, and sales staff



  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, as the agency will build as client adoption increases

  • Strong Marketing Technology profile with at least 15 years experience in creating and managing innovative, successful marketing technology solutions for the Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Deep knowledge of marketing technologies and marketing automation aligned to industry leading applications/platforms, CRM, Digital Asset Management and industry trends

  • Veeva experience is strongly preferred

  • Excellent project management skills to allow, architecting and solutioning multiple marketing automation projects at the same time, and the ability to perform in fast-paced and high-energy environment

  • Exposure to Creatives, Content- and Data Management would be added advantage

  • Experience working with strategy and creative teams to pitch and sell marketing initiatives

  • Ability to communicate to senior-level business and executives at leading Pharmaceutical Companies

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Fluent German and English

  • Willingness to travel throughout Germany
