Engagement Manager - M&A (m/w/d)

As part of our M&A Consulting team you will be advising and guiding our clients up to C – level in their M&A journey, leading the M&A process, impact analysis, future state design and transformation approach. You will work on large scale cross border deals for international corporates and private equity firms. You will help C – level executives realize their value creation by driving the execution of their M&A process in different transactions scenarios (e.g. integration, carve-out, joint venture) and with services like:


  • Buy and sell side Due Diligence

  • Value driver business cases

  • Target Operating Model, Day 1 / 2 Blueprinting

  • Integration / Separation Management Office set-up and execution

  • M&A Program management and Business transformation management

  • TSA design, TSA Management Office set-up and execution

  • Day 1 Readiness assessment, planning and execution

  • Carve-out & Integration planning and execution



  • You enjoy leading business and technology / digital transformations. You have done this for at least 8 years either as a consultant or as an advisor within a business / technology setting

  • Your background is either business based with a solid technology understanding or technology based with a solid business understanding; an MBA or post-graduate diploma is beneficial

  • You have 8+ years of professional experience in M&A and/or business transformations with a major technology focus, preferably from management consulting, Big 4 or (IT) transformation consulting firms

  • You have led M&A programs and M&A driven transformations. This includes pre- and post-deal services such as (technical) Due Diligence, Day 1 Readiness, TSA Mgmt., Post-merger Integration/Separation, and Business new build

  • Your key skills include advisory, analysis, creative solution design, sales, account and engagement management

  • You are open-minded and have a strong personality with the necessary skills to build and maintain good relationships with a broad range of stakeholders e.g. colleagues, client M&A team, Management Board, investment banks, lawyers

  • You are a hands-on team player and are flexible in your way of coaching team members towards a common goal

  • You thrive in a dynamic and unstructured environment and are comfortable creating structure and results in an agile manner

  • You have excellent social skills, are sensitive to cultural differences

  • You have excellent English language skills (written and spoken); fluency in a second (European) language is beneficial

  • Willingness to travel and work in an international environment
