Managing  Domain Consultant Retail / Oracle (m/w/d)

Job Purpose:

As a Managing Consultant, you will play a key part in influencing and shaping the strategic development of the wider team.


  • Thought Leadership. Being a thought leader in the Retail sector and viewed by clients as an expert who theyturn to for help and advice on their most difficult issues. Also ensuring that you have an in-depth understanding of current topics, priorities and important trends.

  • Effectively pitch appropriate service offerings. Anchor the ’sale’ process

  • Laise with stakeholders on Oracle Retail side and build long-term relationship

  • Develop a pipeline in Oracle Retail Planning solutions

  • Help develop internal competency, train fellow collegues and help build a team with expertise in Oracle Planning Solutions

  • Anchor and lead solution and design workshops at customers

  • Guide other team members during an implementation project

  • Flexibility to learn other solutions in the same domain, example BY Supply Chain Planning, Relex

  • Flexbility to travel for various customer engagements

  • Stakeholder management at existing acounts. Ensure client satisfaction & manage client relationship


Your Qualification:

  • Expertise in the Oracle Retail Planning Suite of products

  • Expertise in Merchandise Planning and Assortment Planning business processes in Retail industry

  • Understanding of the nuances across multiple retail sectors such as Grocery, Softlines, Hardlines & Electronics

  • Experience of implementing the above solutions at multiple retailers

  • Experience of leading solution and design workshops

  • Experience of leading proof-of-concept (PoC) for customer specific requirements

  • Must have experience on latest version of the cloud solutions

  • Should have excellent connections with Senior Executives at Oracle Retail

  • Have demonstrable experience of effectively selling at the senior level

  • Experience of building internal competency and training fellow collegues

  • University degree

  • Very good German and English language skills

  • Good to have:

  • Experience in Pre-Sales activities inlcuidng RFP / RFI responses and providing solution response to the customers

  • Strong design, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & presentation)

  • Exposure to onsite ~ offshore working model
